PERFECT China MLM Review – Is it really flawless?

Perfect China Review

Welcome to my PERFECT China MLM review.

Can the products’ integrity be trusted? Are they too expensive to sell as a distributor? Is the market already saturated?

Is this MLM company running a pyramid scheme? How does its compensation plan look like? Can you earn comfortably simply on retail, or do you have to recruit aggressively to make a substantial income out of this business opportunity?

We will answer all these questions and more, in my honest and in-depth review of PERFECT (China) Co., Ltd.

At this point, I also need to make it clear that I am not a promoter of PERFECT China. So whether you join them or not, it does not make a difference to me. My only hope is for this article to help you make a better decision, with consideration from all aspects of the business.

Without further ado, let’s dive right in now!

Product type: MLM (multilevel marketing) company selling health food, skincare, personal care and household products

Scam / Legit? : Legit

Recommended or not? : NOT recommended

PERFECT (China) Co., Ltd. is a China based MLM company that sells health food, skincare, personal care, and household products through network marketing, or direct selling.

There does not seem to be anything unique about its products that make them stand out from competitors in the industry. Moreover, with expensive products, its compensation plan focuses on recruitment rather than retail sales. This makes it very difficult for any new distributor to profit from the business opportunity.

What is PERFECT China

A brief background of PERFECT (China)

Founded in 1994 by Malaysian businessman Koo Yuen Kim, this direct selling company was first established in the Guangdong province of China, to manufacture a whole range of products in the health, beauty and home niches.

Like any other MLM, it strives for high product quality and giving back to society through various activities.

It could be due to how the company website portrays itself, but I really could not find anything that makes it stand out. There seems to be no main selling point to PERFECT China. It must be one of the most uninspiring MLM companies among the many in the industry that I have reviewed.

PERFECT (China) Product Line

Its products are mainly classified into four categories.

Health supplements

Products in this line include multivitamins, minerals, powdered meals, and even some wines.

perfect china health foods

To provide a sensing for the pricing, a bottle of Aloe Minerals Plus works out to be about US$38 at retail price.

Skincare

This range includes lotions, creams, masks, and even some cosmetics.

A 50 ml jar of night cream retails at US$71.

Personal care

Items in the personal care department include shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, mouth spray, etc.

Household

Depending on the country, household items can range from detergents and vegetable rinse to pots and pans.

PERFECT (China) Business Opportunity

How to make money with PERFECT (China)

Just as with any other MLM company, there are two main ways to make money with PERFECT (China): through retail commission by selling its products to retail customers, and by recruiting people into your team and earning through team commissions and bonuses.

Retail commission

When you sell PERFECT China products as its distributor at retail price, you get to earn between 10% to 35% in commission.

Though it sounds good and definitely can work if you know how to drive a massive volume of traffic to your offers, this is where the marketability of the products come in.

With no prominent identity or feature that unites its four categories of products, I get the feeling that its health foods, skin care, and others are just stand-alone categories.

There is no compelling reason for anyone to have to buy the products from PERFECT China, when they can get very similar products elsewhere at more affordable prices.

Take, for instance, Infinitus that sells the same four categories of products as PERFECT, but the unique feature across the board is that all its products incorporate Chinese herbs.

A few other examples are
SuperLife that uses stem cell technology in most products
4Life that uses transfer factor
Emris that uses natural ingredients like CBD, herbs and other plants
Plexus that features a pink drink for weight loss.

To market an MLM effectively, there has to be a strong brand, otherwise it would be really difficult to survive in the highly competitive industry. A company weak in brand marketing easily gets lost among the countless MLM giants.

However, if you are already in the PERFECT China business, do not be disheartened.

Let me show you a high-income skill that you can pick up to change the playing field.

You see, with everyone doing their shopping on the internet these days, if you do not leverage on it, you are doing a disservice to your business.

Before people purchase a health supplement, for instance, they will be doing their research online.

If you can show up to answer the questions they are asking on the search engines, and recommend PERFECT China as the perfect answer, then you would have landed yourself some potential customers.

With sufficient sales volume, just the retail commission alone is going to make you a handsome income.

Recruitment commission

When it comes to the recruitment part of the compensation plan, you may have noticed that it gets extremely complicated.

It actually suffices to know that the money is in recruitment, in a typical MLM reward structure. It is when you recruit that the company earns, as new distributors pay their sign up fees, and subsequently makes purchases.

The more you recruit, the higher up the ranks you rise, and the greater your earning potential.

This also means that at the start, despite all the hours and hard work that you put in trying to convince people to join your team, the earnings you get are disproportionately small, as a huge portion gets passed up to those high up the echelons of the ranks.

It is only after toiling through the years, when you finally reach the top, that you get to reap the fruits of other people’s labor – when your downline recruits others, you win.

To me, this is a very exploitative business model.

And I will never subject myself to it.

It also brings home the point that distributors effectively becomes the customers of the MLM company.

Priced over the top, no one will purchase any product if not for the earning opportunity.

It may not be apparent to the newcomer, as he or she is drowned in the rah-rah prospecting speech by the seasoned marketers. The moment one steps foot into an MLM opportunity, one first starts to bleed money.

Unless you know what you are doing, and already have a marketing plan in place to reach the masses, like advertising on social media (you need funds for that), or you have a personal blog that you know how to drive traffic to, otherwise chances are you will give up on the business after a few months.

It will not be your fault, though.

It is the MLM business model that sets 99% of people up for failure.

Why PERFECT China may not work for you

Take a look at this extract from a report found on the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) website:

ftc report

Even for the top 1% who are able to profit from MLMs, my personal take is that there is no real value added to society. In fact, they earn at the expense of the 99% of distributors.

You see, it takes a lot of aggressive recruiting to get that high up in the ranks. I have seen it with my own eyes with another MLM company, where they advertise through Facebook to get people to attend a free workshop that teaches you how to start your own business.

They are not transparent about the company name, nor about it being an MLM model.

At the workshop, they use pressure sales tactics to get the signups.

Within the next couple of months, most of the new distributors drop off the game to cut losses. It is just too difficult to make it work if you simple try to sell to your warm market of family and friends, which is exactly what is taught by the sponsors.

Those top marketers continue their recruitment drives, unmoved by how the opportunity isn’t working for the vast majority of distributors.

To me, this is unethical.

To round up this article, let me recap and summarize the pros and cons, before I finally make my conclusion.

Pros of PERFECT China

1. Real products

There are tangible products for retail in PERFECT (China). That just makes it legitimate, not necessarily something that everyone should rush to do.

Cons of PERFECT China

1. Expensive pricing

With cheaper alternatives in the open market, by brands that every household knows of, and with no distinct feature that helps PERFECT to retain its customers, I’m surprised it has lasted till today.

2. Focus on recruitment

PERFECT is an MLM model at its core, where your income will really explode if you reach the top echelons. But that is a daunting task that I wouldn’t count on, looking at the statistics.

3. Family and friends start to shun you

If you target your own social circle of family and friends by trying to sell them PERFECT China products, chances are many of them will try to avoid you the next time they see you, thinking your every interaction with them contains a hidden agenda.

Is PERFECT (China) Scam or legit?

PERFECT (China) is perfectly legitimate, though not something I would recommend to anyone.

An Alternative

Now, I would like to humbly invite you to explore an alternative that is vastly different from the MLM model.

It is something I am using to make money from home. This model is called affiliate marketing.

I also promote companies’ products, but I do not have to pay any membership fee. It is free to start promoting, so I can choose to work with as many companies as I wish, all at the same time.

The compensation is fair and square, and completely transparent. I earn a commission whenever I drive sales to the companies. No convoluted compensation plans to hide the exploitation.

Another aspect worth pointing out is that I drive free internet traffic to my business – highly targeted ones, who are ready buyers with strong purchasing intent. I do not have to pay for any form of advertising for my business.
