What is the New U Life HGH Scam?

You are not the only one who is hearing about this new anti-aging miracle gel, and wondering if the New U Life HGH scam is real. This has been a hot product and topic of debate for the past many months now.

At first glance, it seems like a very promising product, acting on the cell level to heal all sorts of ailments, and reverse the effects of aging. But personally, it is something I will not go near, because I do not want to be messing with nature when it comes to hormones, which is a very fundamental building block of our human body system.

If I cannot be passionate about the product, then I cannot sell it to others, nor will I try to recruit people into the program. Moreover, I have seen through MLM schemes to know that New U Life is no different, with all the focus on monthly autoship and recruitment, rather than on retail of its product.

What is the HGH Somaderm Gel

First, a bit of background on the company and its founder.

Alex Goldstein, the CEO and founder of New U Life, is also a certified homeopath, herbalist, respected iridologist, and a nutritional consultant. In creating many exclusive formulas aimed at helping people pursue their health, he has built four successful companies along the way.

Somaderm gel is the newest scientific breakthrough, causing a buzz in the health, youth and vitality market sectors of late.

From their website,

New U Life’s homeopathic Somaderm gel is the only transdermal human growth hormone (HGH) product available without a prescription. The molecular breakdown of HGH found in Somaderm gel is a synthetic USP human growth hormone (somatropin).

So this is how they explain the science behind it:

Using synthetic human growth hormone to reverse the effects of aging, to me, is very wrong, as it defies nature. I may have quite an extreme view on this, but I hold strong to my belief that nature is not for us to alter, but to respect and learn to flow with it. The consequences of messing with nature are too great for us to bear.

It does not mean that we have to accept falling ill, succumbing to diseases, etc. It simply means we take care of ourselves, be mindful of what we put into our mouths, because we are what we eat.

The plants and fruits we take will load us with the phytonutrients and antioxidants we need to slow down and even reverse aging, in a safe and natural way. On the other hand, the fats and cholesterol we chomp down will hasten the effects of oxidative damage to our cells.

Because we are talking about effects on a cellular level, which is a deep and fundamental kind of healing, it is expected that all aspects of our health will be improved, as purported by New U Life. These expected benefits include:

• improved stamina
• increased energy
• better mood
• improved sleep
• enhanced libido
• hair growth
• healthier hair, skin and nails
• improved memory
• improved bone density
• increased joint mobility
• increased strength
• enhanced muscle tone
• improved immunity

Basically everything, right? And back to those good old days when you were in your teens and twenties!

Then one may point out that this is in fact the only FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) registered human growth hormone product available without a prescription. Shouldn’t that at least assure consumers of some level of safety?

My take on this is: because the HGH exists in homeopathic dose, which is means it is present only in miniscule amount, hence it is approved by FDA (it does not mean the effectiveness has been evaluated by FDA).

Generally, homeopathic remedies are not recognised in mainstream medicine for their therapeutic effects. One of the core principles behind homeopathy is the more dilution a substance undergoes, the stronger its healing effect. In fact, certain homeopathic remedies call for dilution to such a degree that you cannot even find trace amounts of the substance in the water used to dilute it. What remains is the memory retained in the water, that contains the essence of the healing effect.

Moreover, homeopathy calls for “like cures like”. The substance that causes the ailment, when encountered in amounts that are normal in our everyday lives, will in fact cure it when given in miniscule amount. For example, caffeine in your tea or coffee keeps you awake at night. Whilst caffeine diluted to untraceable amounts can treat insomnia.

I know this sounds far-fetched to many of you. I myself was very skeptical of it, until two of my children had their health ailments resolved through our homeopathic practitioner. I couldn’t not believe what I saw with my own eyes. But I also understand the skepticism that most people have for homeopathy.

So if I were one who does not believe in homeopathy, all I see of the Somaderm gel is simply a regular skin gel with such low levels of HGH that there is no need for any concern, as its effects cannot possibly be any good or bad, since it is too little. And that’s the only reason I would approve it to be sold without any prescription.

But I have seen the powerful healing of authentic homeopathy, so I wouldn’t want to be toying around with homeopathic levels of synthetic hormones that can go right into my bloodstream. Really, by the time scientists can tell us what havoc these hormones have been wrecking in our system, 20 years down the road, it may be too late.

So I wouldn’t be promoting Somaderm gel, well, it’s not like I would be promoting any MLM company anyway. Still, let’s move on to take a look at its business opportunity, in order to give New U Life a fair and complete review.

New U Life Business Opportunity

To make any money with New U Life, you have to first join as their distributor, or so-called member, or consultant.

How to join New U Life as a consultant

First, you pay an upfront amount for their membership, which also gets you varying bottles of Somaderm gel, by choosing one of the packs below:

• New U Pack: $199 – for 1 year membership and website, and 1 Somaderm gel
• Pro Pack: $499 – for 1 year membership and website, and 4 Somaderm gels
• Executive Pack: $899 – for 1 year membership and website, and 8 Somederm gels

Then, you have to keep making purchases of their products, to qualify as an active consultant. Over each 5 week period, you have to accumulate 140 PV (Personal Volume) worth of purchases.

How to make money with New U Life

As with any MLM company, there are two main ways to earn with New U Life:

1. Retail commission: when retail customers (who are non-members) buy Somaderm gel through you, you get to earn a commission of $45 on each bottle, or $25 if it is an autoship retail order.
2. Recruitment commission: when you recruit a member under you, you earn $20, $60, or $120 depending on which of the three available packs they choose from. Residual commission is paid to your uplines when you recruit, provided they have reached a minimum rank requirement. The actual incentive structure is complicated and mind-boggling, just as with any other MLM scheme. I do not bother to kill my brain cells over it.

What matters to me is the big picture, the overall scheme of how an MLM works, and why most people do not earn anything when they join the business opportunity that promises them a life changing income.

Why New U Life will not work for you

If a company has great products, and intends to run an honest and transparent business, it will keep the pricing affordable so that it is competitive in the open market.

Not for MLMs. The problem starts with the pricing. MLM products are always overpriced, in the name of cutting edge technology, nothing else works like this in this world, your health is so worth it, blah blah blah.

So there is no real demand for their products. Then comes the recruiting, which creates an artificial demand, because their consultants have to pay the upfront exorbitant fee, and keep their status active thereafter, by keeping up with their recurring purchases to meet the personal volume requirement.

All these go to pay for the yachts and limos of the owners and the lucky few consultants at the top of the ranks because they joined the company at the right timing, when it was just starting out.

You just need to see how the uplines teach their new consultants. If the focus is on pulling in more members, where they tell you the money is in the recruiting, then my advice is to forget about this company. Retail commissions are what should pay you in a fair manner, the more sales you pay for the company, to people who can benefit from their products, the more you get rewarded.

The focus on recruiting points to a system that works for its owners, and not its members (i.e. consultants). Hidden beneath the complex compensation plan is a structure that makes the rich richer, and the poor (the bottom and middle ranks consultants) in financial debt, because they are the ones supporting the company.

This is a system where you pay to play. So it does not work for most people. Does it even make sense that consultants are paying to promote the company and its products?

And if I have to rope in my family and friends into the system just so I can earn commissions, I would feel very uncomfortable with the exploitative nature of the business. I also cannot imagine myself pushing an expensive product into their faces, insisting that they need it in their lives, when they were not even looking for anything in the first place.

The proper way to make money from home

The way I earn from home is very different from the MLM scheme. I promote products too, but I can choose many companies that I want to work with, I am not limited to just one. More importantly, I do not have to pay to promote their products. In fact, they are appreciative that I am doing free advertising for them, and my earnings are fair and transparent: the more business I drive to them, the more I get paid.

I do not have to engage in any face to face selling, I do not have to recruit people and feel bad about exploiting them. I offer my recommendation only to people who are actively searching for the products.

I get to work all day in my pajamas if I want to, and I know I am building up an online business that will eventually become my passive income stream, such that even if I leave it aside for months, it will continue to generate an income for me.
