What is Workmines.com? Ponzi Scheme Shutdown

Workmines Review

You must have seen people putting their referral links on social media or elsewhere, and are wondering what is Workmines.com. Is it a safe and legitimate site to get paid for watching videos? Or is there something more than meets the eye to this platform?

Update: Workmines.com had been shut down since June 2019. The platform is no longer available.

Welcome to my Workmines.com review.

What is the earning potential here? How much do they pay per video that you watch? How much do you make for referring friends and family to the site? Why is there a membership fee?

We will answer these and more, in my honest, unbiased, and in-depth Workmines.com review. I will reveal some shocking red flags, so that you can make an informed decision for yourself, as to whether to get involved with Workmines or not.

Without further ado, let’s dive right in now!

Workmines.com Review Summary

Product: Workmines.com

URL: https://workmines.com/

Creator: ‘Time4Work Global Inc’

Product type: get-paid-to site on the surface

Price: free 14-day trial, membership from $39/year to $850/year

Scam / Legit? : Possibly scam

Recommended or not? : NOT recommended

Workmines.com is a get-paid-to (GPT) site on the surface, where you can make money by watching video advertisements, and for referring others. A huge red flag is the need to pay for a yearly subscription, which should not be how a legitimate GPT site works.

Website ownership seems dubious, and their ‘no reason’ termination policy puts you at a great disadvantage. I would advise to steer clear of this platform.

What is Workmines.com

To find out what is Workmines.com, let’s first take a look at its homepage.

workmines what is

The concept is a simple and legitimate one: you get paid to watch online video advertisements.

They claim that Workmines is an online traffic acquisition agency, which brings advertisers and highly targeted audience groups together, on one platform.

Which means they will be earning ads revenue from those advertisers, and paying part of it to its members. If run legitimately, this is a win-win for everyone.

But that does not seem to be the case here on Workmines. Because they require you to pay a yearly membership subscription fee, after the 14-day trial:

workmines pricing

This ranges from $39 per year to $850 per year. I have never seen something like that on any GPT sites that I have reviewed before. So this is something I am terribly uncomfortable with.

A legit GPT site is already generating tons of advertising revenue from their advertisers. They should not have to make you pay a single cent.

This makes me suspect that Workmines is actually a ponzi scheme. I will discuss this in greater detail in a later section. Let’s now take a look at the potential earnings with Workmines.

How to make money with Workmines.com

Regardless of your membership plan, you make $0.40 per video that you watch, with limits of 4 daily videos on the Student Plan, all the way to 100 daily videos on the Gold Plan.

The earnings from referrals are also different, from $0.40 daily per referral on Student Plan, right up to $10 daily per referral on Gold Plan. This is calculated based on a 25% commission for every task your referral completes.

The minimum threshold for cashing out your earnings is $15.

Its payment methods are through Perfect Money, Payeer, and Bitcoins. Withdrawals can be made every Tuesday and Friday, between 12 am and 12 noon, as long as the minimum threshold amount for cashing out is met.

Is Workmines.com a ponzi scheme?

First of all, let me very briefly explain a ponzi scheme. It is simply a program that takes the money paid by new members, to pay out to the existing members.

This makes all the new members go in the red when they first join, but if they spend time working on the website, by watching videos and referring people, they should be able to make their money back, and likely a bit more, over time.

I believe current Workmines.com members do get their pay out, otherwise the site wouldn’t have been running since 2017. Its domain does not expire until November of 2021. So it looks like they are expecting themselves in business for quite a while.

workmines domain

That does not mean they must be legitimate.

Ponzi schemes are illegal in almost all countries around the world. Because it deceives members, who are unknowingly loaning out their money to the platform, under the guise that they are paying for a membership.

Most ponzi schemes collapse if they do not get shut down by the government first, because they land themselves in great debt.

I cannot proof that Workmines.com is a ponzi scheme, unless I go undercover as their company accountant. But I think it is a possibility, seeing how they are operating this supposed GPT site.

You may be thinking: ponzi scheme or not, it doesn’t concern me, as long as I get paid!

Now, let me show you something that will hopefully change your mind:

Workmines.com Terms of Service

I want to show you this:

workmines cancellation

Apparently they can cancel your membership, at their sole discretion, for any reason or FOR NO REASON. Why would anyone put such a clause in their terms of service? Would you pay for a membership that can possibly be terminated for no reason?

They also have a strictly no refund policy, but that I can understand, since they already give people a free 14-day trial, so as to give you fair access to their platform, test things out and decide if you like it enough to pay for a membership.

The supposed company behind Workmines.com

On their about page, this is what they wrote:

workmines about

When I tried to do a search on Time4Work Global Inc, it turns up nothing. This makes me doubt the legitimacy of this entire website.

But of course I may be wrong. If you know of any information about this Time4Work Global Inc that owns Workmines.com, please drop me a comment below, I will be most interested to find out more about it.

If you want to make some quick bucks online by doing simple tasks, my advice is to skip Workmines.com. There are many legitimate GPT sites that are free to join, you should not have to pay for any membership at all.

Great ones include Swagbucks, Societi, PrizeRebel, and bUnited, to name just a few.

It is possible to make a full income online

If you have some extra time at your disposal, instead of earning the peanuts that you get out of GPT sites, why not use this time to create something bigger and much more meaningful, something that can possibly replace your 9 to 5 job down the road?

The internet these days is full of boundless opportunities. But at the same time, it is also very noisy and chaotic.

If you have ever wondered how people become so successful on the internet, you are not alone. I wondered too. I searched, and was blessed to have found this all-in-one training, tools, resources and community platform that showed me very clearly the path to take towards internet success.

I am now working full time from home, growing my internet business, and making an online income. I started from scratch with zero knowledge in this area. If I can do it, you can, too.

Here’s a peek into my daily earnings:

That’s almost $200 in just one single day. It’s nothing to boast about, though, as it’s just a small fraction of its full potential. I just wanted to show you the possibilities.

Check out this training platform that provides all the resources, tools, along with an entire community of aspiring as well as already successful online income earners. The best part is, you get to start for free:

–>>> My #1 recommendation to make money online <<<–

Pros of Workmines.com

1. Very simple tasks

You do not have to kill any braincells with this method. Just by watching video ads, you get to make some extra pocket money. Though I still do not recommend paying a membership to do this.

2. They do pay out, I think

I have seen people putting up their income proof, though I wasn’t able to tell how legitimate those are.

Cons of Workmines.com

1. Ownership is highly suspicious

If Workmines can have its own website, why doesn’t its parent company Time4Work Global Inc.? This makes me highly suspicious that it is a made-up name, just to add credibility to the platform.

2. No aboveboard GPT site has ever asked members to pay

Advertisers pay, members earn. That should be the business model, clear and straightforward.

Is Workmines.com Scam or legit?

I want to call it a scam, but I do not have the proof that it is a ponzi scheme, and it seems to be paying its members.

So proceed with great caution if you do decide to sign up with them, but I really wouldn’t be able to decipher why anyone would want to choose a paying site over the obviously legitimate free ones.

Recommendation

If you have some extra time on your hands, I would really suggest you look into setting up your very own online business, in a niche of your own choice, whether it’s some hobby, or any other aspects of your life that you are passionate about, like some health issue, parenting, traveling, etc.

When I learnt about such an opportunity, a neat and fuss-free way of making money online, I have never looked back. I am just going to create more and more income streams out of it.

This real deal does not promise instant results, but instead gives the knowledge and the lifelong skills required to grow a successful online business, which is exactly what I have done. Check it out by clicking on the button below:

  5. Hi there Joo, I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this! Your article has been really helpful, and I think I definitely be avoiding Workmines.com – as you have explained it does seem rather untrustworthy. I had no clue what a Ponzi scheme was until I read this! Whether or not workmines is one doesn’t matter to me, there are certainly sites that are much more trustworthy and don’t demand a high membership fee.

P.S. I also looked up that “Time4Work Global Inc.” when you mentioned it, but found no results apart from those on the website itself as you showed us.

Thank you for your help and guidance to those looking to make a little more online money.
