SocialBounty.co is a data harvesting site that is full of blatant lies, and will not stop at anything to make money out of you. It does not take money from you directly. Instead, it makes use of your time and effort to earn money for itself.

At the end of the day, not a single person is getting paid with Social Bounty. Moreover, your online safety could be at risk.

What is SocialBounty.co

To find out what is SocialBounty.co, let us first take a look at its website:

socialbounty home page

They claim to be the world’s #1 influencer network, which will pay you $5 to $20 for every friend that you invite onto the platform.

What’s more? They even pay you a $25 sign up bonus, for doing nothing other than signing up! And for every task you complete on its website, you get to make between $10 to $50.

You may wonder, if it’s free to join, where do they get the money to pay you from?

Well, the story deepens then. They work with advertisers, who pay them for the broad reach through their members, helping these companies gain brand exposure and awareness.

SocialBounty then shares their ads revenue with its members. It’s as simple as that.

Though it sounds like a completely legitimate concept that can totally work, the biggest red flag is in the amount that they are claiming to pay you, which is out of this world.

Advertisers are never going to pay them this kind of rate, so they will never be able to pay you this kind of money. If they really did, they would go bankrupt in no time at all. That is just not the kind of figures we are looking at in the advertising industry.

This may not be convincing enough. Let me show you the other concrete proof that points us to a huge scam in this platform.

Red Flags in SocialBounty.co

Fake testimonials

Testimonials are so easy to fake. Look at this particular one, that says he has been using Social Bounty for almost two years.

socialbounty testimonial

I know this is fake, because simply by running a quick check on their website domain shows that it had only been very newly registered in December 2019.

socialbounty domain

No one could have started earning from two years back, because this platform was not even in existence then.

They lie about their years in service

They claim to have been around since 2012.

socialbounty story

And then look at that atrocious spelling error that has not been spotted for the past 7 years? By the #1 influencer platform that has paid out millions of dollars to its members?

No social media accounts

For the leading influencer network, you would expect them to have at least some social media accounts on the main platforms, like Facebook and Instagram. No, these do not exist.

Fake team

The Social Bounty team is not real.

An image search on Google of their CEO turns out this, which is a stock image that anyone can simply take off the internet and use.

And if you click on the social media buttons below each picture, they link back to the same ‘about’ page on SocialBounty. Once again, proof that these people do not exist.

Fake email address

The email address provided by SocialBounty.co is fake too.

socialbounty email

This is really bad. It shows that they had no intention of ever getting in touch with any member, right from the outset.

You have to be a centenarian

Look at this ridiculous clause on their Terms and Conditions page.

socialbounty terms

So you have to be 99 years old to use Social Bounty. It means that under the law, since you would have agreed to its terms and conditions before starting to use the platform, they do not have to pay you at all.

And this is not a typing error, they spelled out the number in full too.

I must say these guys are quite creative. This is the first time I have come across something so hilarious, having reviewed a good number of similar scam sites.

I can’t fathom what they are thinking.

Fake payment proof

The payment proofs are all fake. If you look closely, the payment dates are before this platform even came into existence.

Video testimonial is non-existent

At the time of this writing, the video testimonial does not exist.

After this section, I believe it is not difficult to see that the intention to deceive its users is in plain view. If they can tell such blatant lies on their website, I do not like to imagine what other unscrupulous activities they are capable of.

What Social Bounty Does Exactly

Data harvesting

When you enter your name, contact email and password to register for Social Bounty, you are already giving these crooks what they want.

Without your knowledge, much less permission, they will collate their members’ list to be sold to third party advertisers, fetching a handsome price.

This is because in the make money online niche, a targeted audience is highly sought after. All Social Bounty’s members are considered a great target for selling make money online products to, as the mere act of signing up shows that you are keen to make money online.

In the coming days, expect to have your email inbox spammed by offers and promotions for which you may have no idea where they are from. Lots of nonsense will be promoted, like some done-for-you system that will get your first $1K commission within the next 5 days, or the secret formula that no online marketer has been willing to reveal until now, and stuff like that. You get the idea.

Your online safety will be put at risk

As you engage in the tasks on SocialBounty.co, you will never know what kind of risk you are getting into.

A click on a link may land you on some illegal online casino site. A free app download may introduce some virus or malware onto your device.

A sign up for some free trial may get your credit card information stolen.

Even if it seems that nothing bad is happening, you can be sure the people behind SocialBounty are earning through the activities and tasks that you are asked to complete.

So get out of the site as quickly as you can. Do not let them make use of you to do all their dirty work.

To round up this article, let me recap and summarize the pros and cons, before I finally make my conclusion.

Pros of SocialBounty.co

There is seriously not a single advantage to engaging on this platform. It will do you a lot more harm than good. So steer clear of it.

Cons of SocialBounty.co

1. You will receive unsolicited offers

Though a minor irritation to receive emails from companies that you never signed up for, it is unethical to have you believe you are just signing up to make money on a platform, only to turn around and sell your information behind your back.

2. Your online safety will be at risk

There are a thousand and one ways for these bad guys to get unsuspecting people to do what they want that makes Social Bounty money, while at the same time compromising your online security.

3. You will not get paid

No matter how many tasks you complete and how many referrals you bring onto the platform, no one is getting paid. Not even a single cent.

This is a dishonest site that everyone needs to stay away from.

Is SocialBounty.co Scam or Legit?

SocialBounty is very definitely a scam. I have seen too many similar scam websites.

Recent examples are Use2Earn, Swipe2Earn, Tap2Cash, ShareCash, and Clout Bonus, to name just a few.

An Alternative

Everyone wants to be rich, but guess who will make it?

It’s a very natural thing, that’s just human nature. I mean, find me someone who doesn’t want to get rich fast, and with minimum effort.

I wasn’t spared of all the temptations on the internet, hopping from one shiny object to the next.

But when I realized those empty promises are only going to make other people rich, and not me, I stopped looking for shiny objects.

I found a dull-looking object, but I knew in my heart that is the real deal. And from then on, I have never looked back.

An honest, down-to-earth method that will get you there. It’s not going to be easy, but it will get you there.

Versus the fast and easy way that gets you nowhere except round and round in circles.
