Scam / Legit? : SCAM

EarnBucks is a data harvesting site that sells your contact information that you provided upon signing up to third party advertisers.
As you accomplish the tasks on the platform, the people behind this fraud continue to benefit from it, but you will never get to cash out. Moreover, those tasks will likely put your online safety at risk.
What is EarnBucks
To find out what is EarnBucks, let us first take a look at its website:
As an influencer network, they bring together advertisers and influencers (that’s you) onto a platform. Advertisers pay them to put their brands in front of a huge audience.
Earn Bucks then shares its ads revenue with you.
Though it sounds like a completely legitimate and workable model, the biggest red flag is in the amount that they want to pay you.
$25 for signing up (for free)? And $10 to $15 per referral?
This is way above the typical figures that are seen in the advertising industry.
If they were to keep their word and pay out this kind of money, they will go bankrupt within the week.
Hence I know this is a highly dubious site.
If this is not convincing enough for you, read on as I expose even more red flags.
Red Flags in EarnBucks.co
1. Fake payment proof
Look at one of the many payment proof on EarnBucks.co.
Pay attention to the date of payment, which is in May 2019.
Well, how do they pay out when the platform has not even existed at that time to allow people to earn from it?
Look what I uncovered.
Its website domain was very newly registered on December 9, 2019.
So do not believe everything you see, look beyond the surface.
2. Fake testimonials
The same profile pictures have been used again and again, on numerous websites that these people set up just to scam unsuspecting ones. I have seen these too many times.
Sabrina has gone under the name of Alicia, and what else I can’t bother to remember.
She couldn’t have started using EarnBucks a year ago, because it hadn’t existed back then.
3. Fake email address
The email address provided for support is fake. It does not exist. It is not difficult to discover this.
The thing is, most people won’t go around checking the legitimacy of email addresses.
Only when they find themselves not able to cash out and try to contact the support team of EarnBucks.co will they then realize that they have been scammed of their time.
This is bad. They never had any intention of getting in touch with members right from the outset.
4. Blatant lie about when it was started
This is on their ‘About’ page.
These people are unscrupulous, to be telling such a huge lie on their website.
This shows us that they can stoop low to get what they want.
5. Are you 99 years old?
According to its terms and conditions, you have to be 99 years old and above to use the platform. Take a look at this hilarious clause:
It’s definitely not a typing mistake, for they not only wrote out the number, they even spelled it out in words. So let’s make no mistake about this.
I can go on and on about all the discrepancies and suspicions on this platform, but I think we’d better not let these bad guys waste anymore precious time of ours.
What EarnBucks Does Exactly
Data harvesting
First and foremost, EarnBucks.co is a data harvesting site. It uses your name and email address that you entered upon signing up to make money.
By collating this highly targeted list of its members and selling it to third party advertisers, this will fetch a handsome price.
You see, just by showing up on their platform proves that you are interested in making money online. This is a lucrative niche, because it is so easy to lure people with low quality products that promise the moon but never delivers.
So in your email inbox, you will receive lots of spam from people you do not know.
Your online safety will be compromised
As you interact with the EarnBucks platform to try to complete the tasks and make more money, you will certainly see the earnings on your dashboard accumulating, but you will never be able to cash them out.
Again, these crooks are luring people with big earnings to make them do what they want.
A click on a link may land you on some shady site, like an illegal online casino, or an illegal site selling unbranded health products.
Downloading of an app could introduce a virus or some malware to your device instead.
Signing up for some free trial could end up in identity theft, because they would require that you disclose even more personal information.
To round up this article, let me recap and summarize the pros and cons, before I finally make my conclusion.
Pros of EarnBucks
There is not a single pro to this platform. It will do you more harm than good. Stay as far away from it as you can.
Cons of EarnBucks
1. It harvests your data
Though receiving spam in your inbox might be a minor irritation, the fact remains that this is unethical.
They trick you into releasing your email address, then turn around to sell the information behind your back.
2. It puts your online safety at risk
We do not think like these crooks, so we really can’t fathom what they are capable of. The best bet is to stay away, and to remove your referral links if you had tried to promote them anywhere.
3. It will not pay out
At the end of the day, no matter how many referrals you bring in and how many tasks you complete, regardless of how many thousands of dollars the dashboard shows, nobody will be getting a single cent out of them.
Is EarnBucks Scam or Legit?
EarnBucks.co is a scam, through and through.
It is similar to many such data harvesting sites around, like Click2Cash, CloutBux, CashChase, PulseBucks, and Click4Kash, to name just a few.
An Alternative
Everyone wants to be rich, but guess who will make it?
It’s a very natural thing, that’s just human nature. I mean, find me someone who doesn’t want to get rich fast, and with minimum effort.
I wasn’t spared of all the temptations on the internet, hopping from one shiny object to the next.
But when I realized those empty promises are only going to make other people rich, and not me, I stopped looking for shiny objects.
I found a dull-looking object, but I knew in my heart that is the real deal. And from then on, I have never looked back.
An honest, down-to-earth method that will get you there. It’s not going to be easy, but it will get you there.
Versus the fast and easy way that gets you nowhere except round and round in circles.
